I thought since it’s been so long since I updated here I’d make a note that yes, this site is in dire need of being updated. I’m sorry it’s been taking so long, but I’ve been focusing on other things recently. That’s going to change soon, though—I plan on having a full revamp of the site by the end of October. Thanks for your patience and support!

New single in August!

Since I got about seven alerts for this news in my inbox: Stereopony will be releasing a new single (title yet to be announcted) on 19 August. It will be the theme song for the animated film Yatterman, which will be released on 22 August. More details about this can be found at Anime News Network.

And don’t forget that Hydrangea ga Saiteru comes out tomorrow! (Actually, today, as it’s already out in Japan. :D) As far as site updates go, I’m still working on the new layout, since I’m also planning on adding new content to the site and reorganizing it some. We’re also now affiliated with Rhapsody, a fascinating tribute to the Korean band Epik High.

Discography + gallery updates

A bit late, but I’ve updated the discography with information about their upcoming album, Hydrangea ga Saiteiru, including the tracklist and other release info. I’ve also added caps of the “I do it” PV and making-of video to the gallery, which I’ve now split up into different pages. I also made some new wallpapers.

In Stereopony news, the PV for “Seishun Ni, Sono Namida Ga Hitsuyou Da!” came out on 5/20, which explains the date. My guess is it’ll be on the DVD version of the album.

Up next, I plan to make a new layout, expand the gallery, and add some new sections to the site. I’m still locked in a fierce battle with my scanner, so I’m not sure when scans will be available, but hopefully I’ll be able to get it working soon. Anyway, if you haven’t preordered the album already, what are you waiting for?!

"Hydrangea Ga Saiteiru" album in June!

I saw mentions of an upcoming Stereopony album on Japanese blogs a few weeks ago, but didn’t want to mention it until it was confirmed. And it has been! The official site has received a gorgeous makeover, featuring a bright, spring/summery look, and information about their first album, Hydrangea Ga Saiteiru. It will have 13 tracks, including their three singles so far, and there will be a CD+DVD version featuring their three PVs, a documentary on their appearance at SXSW ‘09, and a photo booklet.

Needless to say, yours truly is excited!

In addition, a song called “Seishun Ni, Sono Namida Ga Hitsuyou Da!” will be used for LIPFES 09, which I believe is a short movie. There’s a preview for it here. It’s not been announced if it’s a single, and given the album news I’ll bet it’ll be on that. Although there is the date 5/20 on the site, so maybe not?

I hope to make a new layout for the site later this month, probably using some of the gorgeous images on the official site. I also plan to update the gallery next week after I finish exams, so look forward to it~

The official site has been updated with the tracklisting for “I do it,” and I’ve updated the discography accordingly. I do plan to keep this site up to date with news and information, so check back for more soon! The next thing I plan to do is add more images to the gallery, including scans of the “Hitohira no Hanabira” single (with “Namida no Mukou” to come at a later date).
